On February 20th to 22nd, the 24th India International International Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition (ACREX) was grandly held at the Bengaluru Convention Centre. With the theme of "Unleashing India's Potential and Creating a Responsible Built Environment", the exhibition showcased cutting-edge innovative technologies and products in HVAC, and promoted the HVAC industry to enter a new era of decarbonization, innovation and automation.
The ACREX India was jointly organized by Informa, the South Indian Chapter of the Indian Institute of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), and the All India Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Association. It was the largest and most prestigious refrigeration and air conditioning exhibition in South Asia, and it was also the gateway for global enterprises to enter the Indian HVAC market.
01 The ACREX India gathers 480 enterprises from all over the world
This exhibition lasted for three days. A total of 480 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions including India, China, the Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the United States, etc. have participated in the exhibition. The scale of the exhibition has reached a new high.
Among them, well-known enterprises include: DAKIN，ABS，Danfoss，BLUE STAR，ZECO，Carrier，Johnson Controls，ABB，VTS，ACRA，Luftek，AHRI，HMX, etc.
Furthermore, due to the "cold politics and warm economy" between China and India, the Indian government has vigorously promoted "Made in India" to create numerous business opportunities for Chinese enterprises. At the same time, the Indian visa application review for Chinese citizens has also been subject to extremely strict restrictions. It is difficult for Chinese citizens to obtain Indian visas. Nevertheless, nearly 30 Chinese enterprises participated in this year's ACREX India through various forms. Among them, the AHP Organizing Committee organized nearly 20 Chinese enterprises including Jingda, NEW-TAITONG, Jin Tian, Dun An, Keli Gao, OMS Machinery, SMAC, Guoyue, Chun Tian, and Sanjia Yihua to participate in the exhibition and expand their markets in India.
02 The 4th Stop of AHP 2025 Global Promotion Tour!
In recent years, the domestic air conditioning market in India has grown rapidly. According to the data from Industrial Online, the compound growth rate from 2015 to 2023 was 5.1%. Currently, the market size of air conditioners in India is only about 1/10 of that in China, indicating a very broad market space. At the same time, with the increasingly frequent occurrence of hot weather in India, it provides favorable conditions for the popularization of air conditioning products. The demand for air conditioners and cold chain equipment in the Indian market is also increasing further. During the 2024 Asian International Heat Pump Exhibition (AHP), a total of 60 enterprises from India and over 100 buyers with the latest product demands came to the AHP exhibition site. Among them, 80% were first-time participants in the AHP exhibition, which to some extent reflects the urgent demand of the Indian HVAC&R market for Chinese technical knowledge.
